GIS Cell, MNNIT Allahabad is organising a national level two week short-term course on InSAR for Disaster preparedness and precursors from 27th February - 8th March 2024 sponsored by ISRO Disaster Management Support (DMS) Capacity building programme. The course is inaugurated by Prof. R. S. Verma, Director MNNIT Allahabad. Prof. V. K. Srivastava, Chairperson GIS Cell welcomed the participants and provided brief introduction about ongoing research and development in GIS Cell. Dr. Ramji Dwivedi, Associate professor GIS Cell and Course Coordinator provided the course structure and ongoing development in Advance InSAR with upcoming SAR mission. This is the 3rd edition of InSAR course series. Participants are faculty members and scientist from NITs and national level laboratories/research center as well as PhD students from IIT Roorkee, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IISER Mohali, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, BITS Pilani, Allahabad University, Aligarh Muslim University, Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology and NIT Raipur. The course will feature Prof. Y. S. Rao, IIT Bombay, Prof. Chandrakant Ojha, IISER Mohali, Dr. Pramod Soni, IIT BHU, Dr. Tapas Ranjan Martha, head Geohazard division NRSC Hyderabad and Dr. Kapil Malik, Radar systems as expert speaker and resource person.
