January 7, 2022, witnessed the unveiling ceremony of the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. Director, Prof. Rajeev Tripathi unveiled the portrait and addressed the gathering. The Portrait is hand painted on canvas by Mrs. Deepa Bhargava, w/o Er. Shiv Kumar Bhargava (Batch 1973 Electrical Engineering), one of our illustrious alumni. They have fondly gifted the painting to the Institute. The portrait has been beautifully installed on a raised platform in the main Academic Building. The unveiling ceremony was performed in the presence of Prof. Geetika, Dean RGIA, Prof. M.M Gore, Dean Faculty Welfare, Prof. K.N Pandey, Dean P&D, Prof. Mukul Shukla, VP I Alumni Association, Prof. Vijaya Bhadauria Chief Warden, Dr. Sarvesh K. Tiwari, Registrar, Heads of various department, officials of the Institute and three alumni of 1973 batch, Er K.K Agarwal, Er. S.K Srivastava and Er. Avadh Rastogi. After unveiling the portrait, lamp was lighted and everyone present offered floral tribute to the goddess of learning and knowledge. In the end sweets were distributed as prasad. The event was organized in hybrid mode and a large number of alumni had joined online, including Mr & Mrs Bhargava. Mrs Bhargava got emotional seeing the beautiful installation of the portrait.
